February Meeting

After the break for the festive period, we will be holding our first ‘Pop-up Purple Caffe’ event of 2018 on Thursday 1st February at 6.30pm.

Currently, meetings are held on the first Thursday evening of each month at Rothes Halls, Glenrothes.

The meetings are wholly informal, and the whole family are welcome.  This year, the intention is to increase the focus on raising awareness of the charity, and more importantly, epilepsy itself.  In addition, we will be working out our calendar for social and fundraising events in 2018.

As with any charity, any offers of help are welcomed, although we would stress that no-one is obliged.  We would still like to add to our Board of Trustees, and there are still a number of vacancies available.  The structure of the charity is such that the burden of time involved is kept to a minimum, and Trustees have the option to ‘opt out’ for a period of time should family commitments require.

We also hope to invite guest speakers from other charities and local groups who will be able to offer relevant and accurate information.

Whilst we do not offer any medical advice, we do aim to offer support and information, as long as it is from a credible source.

We are also hoping to have an increased range of activities at the meetings for our younger members – arts, crafts, face-painting, etc.  So if you know of anyone that can help, please let us know!

If you would like to be kept informed of the meeting dates, and the activities expected, then please ‘Like’ our Facebook page, or sign up for our email newsletter.

These meetings are all about YOU, and so we would love to hear your suggestions on how we can develop the format, suitability of dates, times, locations and so on.

We hope to see you and your family at the next meeting in February!
